Nous lui devons tous un grand MERCI! We regret to inform you that René Jetté, genealogist, historian and demographgénéalogiste, historien and well known emographer passed away on May 18, 2003. René was one of those exceptional men. With his passing away, a part of French genealogy in North America, not just Quebec and Canada, has left us. Let us take a few minutes to remember him particularly for those persons who worked in French genealogy in the USA, immigration through Canada and those French who came to Quebec.One simply could not work in the field without at least hearing of René Jetté's works or of the man himself.
